Salvador Essers appointed Managing Director of Shared IT Services

Salvador Essers will become the new Managing Director of Shared IT Services (SIS) at APG as of February 1. He succeeds Eric Helsloot, who will leave APG. Essers will combine his new position with his current role as Managing Director of Facility Services.

"The choice for Salvador was a logical one in our view," says CFRO Maarten Blacquière. "In recent years, he has developed into Director of Facility Services. In recent months, he has played an important role in preparing APG colleagues for the transition from the first two funds to the renewed pension system. There he proved to be able to bring together several parties and interests and to act decisively. Salvador's leadership style is people-oriented and he works from trust. This style is in line with the management of SIS. He also has experience in the field of IT and affinity with the SIS organization. We are therefore confident that he will take the necessary steps towards the future together with the MT SIS and the entire department."

Helsloot will focus on a future outside APG. Blacquière: "As APG, we are grateful for everything that Eric has brought to SIS and the entire organization in recent years. There is a strong MT, a well-functioning department and the road to a future-proof IT landscape has now begun."
