Ronald Wuijster, CEO of APG Asset Management, spoke on news channel CNBC about the extreme volatility in the financial markets and the subsequent intervention by the Bank of England.
Wuijster said he expects the Bank of England's intervention to be sufficient to restore calm in the financial markets. The British central bank announced last week that it would buy billions in British government bonds in the coming weeks.
In the interview, Wuijster also explains why pension funds, just like regular banks, should have direct access to central banks.
