Peter Bommel has been appointed by APG Group shareholders as a new member of the supervisory board of APG Group NV. He will start as per April 1, 2023, succeeding the current chairman of the supervisory board, Mr. Pieter Jongstra. Peter Bommel's appointment is for a period of four years.
Mr. Peter Bommel (61) was CEO of Deloitte in the Netherlands from 2012 to 2019 and a director of Deloitte's global organization. Before that he was, amongst others, managing partner of Deloitte's Dutch audit practice and chairman of the curatorium of the Auditing School at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU University). At the moment he is, amongst others, chairman of the VU University Association and member of the supervisory board of Flynth Group.
He graduated as a chartered accountant from VU University and completed training as a US Certified Public Accountant at the University of Delaware. Prior to his career at Deloitte, he held financial positions at Philips, KBB and MetaCorp Group, among others. He has also held various ancillary positions. Among other things, he was a board member of the Make a Wish Foundation, a board member of the Nederlandse Bachvereniging (Dutch Bach Society) and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Maatschappelijke Alliantie (Social Alliance) founded by former Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende. Currently, Peter Bommel's positions include board member of the Dutch Olympic Committee's Top Sports Fund.

Effective April 1, 2023, APG Group's supervisory board will be composed as follows: Peter Bommel (chairman), José Meijer, Sarah Russell, Dick van Well and Claudia Zuiderwijk.
