Why do you work at APG?
“What attracts me to APG is the combination of societal relevance and intellectual challenge. The work we do directly impacts the income and financial security of millions of people, now and in the future. At the same time, APG is an organisation that is constantly evolving, where financial, governance and transformation issues come together. That requires collaboration, listening to one another and thinking ahead. It is precisely at that intersection where I am keen to make my contribution.”
When you tell people about what you do at APG and people can remember only one thing, what should that one thing be?
“That APG, to me, stands for moving forward together, especially in times when things become challenging.”
Please share something surprising about yourself.
“People often assume that I am mainly rational and numbers-driven. What tends to surprise them is how much value I place on connecting people. I believe that real change does not start with structures or systems, but with understanding each other’s perspectives. Progress only comes when you recognise that what seems logical to you may mean something entirely different to someone else, and you use that insight to move forward together.”
