As of August 30, 2024, APG will discontinue Kandoor. The social initiative, which has been providing free financial advice since 2015, no longer aligns with APG's current strategy.
The APG Executive Board wants innovations to be closely connected to the services offered to pension fund clients and has therefore decided to cease activities directed towards consumers, such as Kandoor.
Kandoor was one of the first initiatives to emerge from the GroeiFabriek in 2015 and has been funded through the innovation budget ever since. The goal of Kandoor was to assist Dutch citizens in making financial decisions. Following the decision to discontinue Kandoor, discussions were held with other parties regarding a potential takeover, particularly due to the initiative’s demonstrated social value. However, despite the efforts of all involved colleagues, these discussions did not yield the desired outcome. As a result, Kandoor will cease to exist on August 30, 2024.
