After 6 years on the Executive Board, Francine van Dierendonck (1976) will be leaving the APG Group on October 1, 2024. Francine is responsible for the Fund Management and Participant & Employer Services business units. Since taking up her position, she has ensured that participant orientation has been embedded in APG’s processes.
“I look back on a wonderful and intensive time at APG,” says Francine. “Six years ago I started at this wonderful company with the task of making our organization more participant-focused. We’ve done that successfully, thanks in part to the urgency of the new Dutch Pensions Act. We listened to the needs of participants and employers more and more, built a new administration system, embedded participant-focus in the processes. And during this enormous rebuild, APG continued to operate as usual. Now that everything is ready for the transition to the renewed pension system, my job is done. In the coming months, I will be handing over my responsibilities. I will be doing so with a sense of great pride and gratitude. I will clarify more about my future steps at a later date.”
Annette Mosman, Chairman of the APG Board of Trustees: “I am extremely grateful to Francine for what she has accomplished and the professional way in which she has directed the process of making our pension organization participant- focused. She has set the standard for our sector. We are on the eve of the biggest pension reform ever. Participant confidence in the system is crucial at this stage and with her Retail experience Francine has made a huge contribution to this.”
Peter Bommel, Supervisory Board Chairman: “With more than 550 billion euros in pension assets and 4.6 million participants, APG is among the largest pension administrators in the world. Our fund clients, employers and participants rightly place high demands on the management, administration and payment of pensions. We thank Francine van Dierendonck for her contribution to this over the past six years. On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I wish her every success in the continuation of her career.”
Francine van Dierendonck’s duties with the Executive Board will be taken over by Annette Mosman as of October 1. Together with the Supervisory Board, an ultimate solution will be sought. Effective October 1, 2024, the Executive Board will consist of Annette Mosman (CEO), Maarten Blacquière (CFRO) and Ronald Wuijster (CEO APG Asset Management).
