Gerard van Olphen reappointed chairman of the board APG Group

Gerard van Olphen (1962) has been reappointed by the APG Group supervisory board as chairman of the board of APG, the largest pension provider in the Netherlands. The appointment applies again for a period of four years starting 9th March 2020. The shareholders of APG Groep have approved this appointment and the works council has given positive advice.

 

Gerard van Olphen joined APG in March 2016 as chairman of the board. In the past four years, he has led the APG movement to maximize the pension value of the participants of the pension funds for which APG works. The effectiveness and efficiency of the organization have been increased further and the costs per participant have decreased year on year. Asset Management is a solid organization which invests the pension premiums in a sustainable and responsible manner and with good returns. The execution of the pension administration is robust and further strengthened. Non-core activities such as Inadmin and Loyalis have been sold.
